The Lum\u00e9ville station (La Gare) and the Cig\u00e9o project<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former station of Lum\u00e9ville, near Bure, was bought in 2007 to oppose the project of nuclear dump Cig\u00e9o imposed by ANDRA (National Agency for Radioactive Waste Management). By hiding the most dangerous waste hundreds of meters underground, the state tries to make acceptable nuclear power and its revival by making believe that it is a clean energy. But beyond the ecological aberration, it is also the colonial, militaristic and authoritarian aspect of the nuclear industry that we want to fight.<\/p>\n

La Gare is located on the path of the railway which must first transport the construction materials necessary for the project, then the waste itself. An expropriation procedure was launched against him in 2024 by ANDRA, which will be able to legally take possession of the land from October 11, 2025.<\/p>\n

Years of resistance<\/strong><\/p>\n

For 17 years, La Gare has evolved and enriched itself with many dynamics having a common goal: to fight against Cig\u00e9o in an anarchist perspective. The Septembre Infini camp prepared the spaces and minds for the occupation that is coming. The Manif du Futur, for its part, showed the determination of more than 1500 people to oppose the project and the eviction from La Gare. A new stage begins now.<\/p>\n

Defend La Gare
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

After 18 months of procedure, starting from October 11, ANDRA makes our living and organizing place an illegal space. It makes our presence outlaw (which suits us well). The legal battle is over, the paper barricades no longer protect us but La Gare is still a rampart against Cig\u00e9o. As for the occupation of Bois Lejuc in 2016, ANDRA cannot move forward without first coming to unlodge us. Our field becomes what it was meant to be: a place of confrontation against the nuclear state, and every day that passes delays its progress.<\/p>\n

Spread the response<\/strong><\/p>\n

Occupying La Gare is in itself an act of resistance. But, as ANDRA begins a major phase of work (on the railway, in the Lejuc wood, with the construction of a new gendarmerie, through titanic drilling, …), it is not for us to hold a siege but on the contrary to take the initiative. La Gare is a good place to retaliate. The nucleocrats and their cops are trying to subdue this territory, let us be the grain of sand in their cogs, let\u2019s make the shadow of La Gare hover over their heads.<\/p>\n
