These past days, even though the Andra (still) hasn&#8217;t obtained the authorization to cut, trees were cut in the forest. Behind these cuts, a scheming between Andra and the town hall of Mandres-en-Barrois : parcels of the Bois Lejuc were attributed to the people of the village for their &#8220;affouages&#8221; &#8211; a right that authorizes people in villages in the south of Meuse to cut and pick up wood in the communal forests.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 21st of december 2019, the town hall seems to have given up the plan (for now) and ordered to stop the cutting.
