Feedback of Les Bestiales 2
Antispeciesist and anti-authoritarian meetings (the second edition of Les Bestiales) took place for 5 days at La Maison de Résistance in Bure at the end of February.
Up to 200 people (at the peak of the event) were present to meet, exchange, network around antispeciesism, with an anti-capitalist and anti-authoritarian perspective.
The program was well filled (discussions, workshops, shows, physical activities, concerts, walks…), it was open to any proposal and many workshops were proposed spontaneously during the meetings. To give you an idea, here is the actual schedule for the week:
Exceptional thing in the context of Bure, no prefectural order (nor requisition) was released during these meetings, the cops did surveillance rather remotely (helicopter, IMSI catcher suspission, registration plate records, photo taking).
The self-management worked rather well, canteens have delighted us, people present were cute! 🙂
On the financial level, we have just got back in our expenses, we managed to free up 100€ for an antispeciesist sanctuary
