On January 18th 2023, 4 people were arrested and accused of sabotaging five measuring masts for wind farms projects in Haute-Vienne, between July anf end of Octobre 2022. They were put in investigation procedure for « gang deteroriation » and « criminal conspiracy », and placed under judicial supervision before trial : they were banned of staying in contact, banned from the area, forced to pay a bail of 120 000€. There was an appeal to this decision, the result of the march 9th audit in Limoges will take place on march 23rd. There are strong chances that one of them will go in custody !

In Bure, where we fight against a nuclear waste burrying project, we feel the need to express solidarity with the accused, they also were opposed to the devastation of a capitalist society imposing industrial powers, nuclear or wind powered, to operate a money and exploitation driven system.

At the time of the Fukushima disaster, the development of these energies was put into light to allow the progressive exit of nuclear energy in France. With Macron, since nuclear recovery speeches of the end of 2021, the masks comes off ! Rather than a transition, it is an energy expansion. This industry play a part in the exploitation of populations in Mongolia and South America* by making theme work in mines to extract necessary ressources for energy production said renewable, omitting to say that these extrations relying on petroleum. Energies stamped « green » are still a neo-colonial industry serving corporations. It’s indeed a juicy business for multinational companies who, by wind farm and photovoltaic power plants installations, benefit from carbon footprint offset and thanks to it, continue pollution elsewhere (polluter pays principle). **

Nuclear or wind powered (or coal, photovoltaic, hydro-electric, gas etc.), this rise of energy production mostly allows to support capitalistic production and enforce the idea that we can continue a mortifying technological and industrial growth.

Like Amassada occupation (2014-2019) in Aveyron, the decentralised actions week against EDF and RTE (Electricity of France and Electricity Transport Network) january 2020, 5g antennas and aerial-repeaters sabotage against thhe capitalistic system of energy production : we support the people accused of sabotaging measuring masts in Haute-Vienne, guilty or innocent, because those actions are a breath of resistance against the absurdity of this authoritarian world.

We don’t want transition : let’s get out of energy overconsumption, let’s multiply attacks, let’s destroy capitalism and what feeds it !

Notes :
* « [The realisation of industrial wind farms] demands many years of work, huge land clearing, existing roads and trails enlargement to drive through parts larger than those of an Airbus. 2000 tons of cementare casted in the ground for each mast, the foundation of 200m3 is of an equal volume as an olympic pool. Each wind turbine contain 600kg of rare soil, essentially neodyme. The exploitation and refinement of this metal is mainly done in the city of Baotou (in Inner Mongolia), nicknammed « cancer city ». The chemical rejects of this industry soiled the whole region : life expectancy is now of 40 years and radioactivity is two times larger than the one mesured in Tchernobyl. Each wind turbine contain more than 4 tons of copper exctracted in South America fields where entire villages are expropriated by armed forces to allow western firms to exploit subsoil weakth and workers life. To greenwash here, we blacken there. » Plea against industrial wind turbines (Amassada, 2019)
