Call for a national mobilization against the revival of nuclear power and for the rapid shutdown of all power plants on 13 March 2022
As the culmination of an episode of all-out propaganda of rare intensity, the President of the Republic announced on 9 November 2021 that he would follow the energy policy outlined by EDF by relaunching the construction of nuclear reactors.
He thus swept aside the perspectives opened up by the reports of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE), which had published on January 27, at the request of the government, scenarios proposing “a scientific consensus on the existence of technological solutions that would make it possible to maintain the stability of the electrical system without conventional production”.
An identical announcement had already been made in July 2008 by Mr. Sarkozy, President of the Republic at the time, when he announced the construction of a new EPR…
It is absolutely necessary to make heard as vigorously as possible, the voice of those who resist the media surge carrying the arguments that the recourse to nuclear power would be one of the solutions to be implemented to avoid the climatic disturbances, a campaign which bears its fruits within the ecological movement.
