A week of organization against the nuclear order!
Since Monday, March 23, La Gare is evictable !
We have made it clear, on several occasions in the past, that we did not intend to leave this place of our own free will.
Our numerous calls for occupation have functioned moderately, not allowing us to have the strength and sufficient number to resist a disproportionate eviction given the 8 hectares of La Gare to be defended. However, the various events, meetings and collective projects have made it possible to create an informal constellation of resistance and struggle against nuclear power and its shitty world throughout France, and beyond. Despite everything, we do not want to let the prefecture dictate how we are going to leave and undergo this expulsion. We do not want to let a perfectly planned and mediatized operation unfold : hundreds of cops against some occupants who were barely awake in the morning, while others, far away, can only follow the info thread. It has been seen too many times, in so many places of occupation, including at Lejuc Wood in 2018.
We will not let the prefecture stage our powerlessness ! We will not remain seated at La Gare waiting for the day of the expulsion! La Gare will freely write its own story.
That is why La Gare wishes to inform you that it has chosen the date and time of the festivities for this spring and invites you to four days of very special and unusual events starting from Thursday, April 16.
For these latest reunions, we want to bring together all the people who have developed a link with this place full of stories, resistance and fight against CIGEO, over the last 19 years. We also invite all those who wish to discover La Gare before the nuclear mafia bulldozers raze it. It’s an opportunity to say goodbye to La Gare together in their own way! 😉
In the immediate future, we therefore call on all those who would like to come now to support the occupation of La Gare and its defense.
Regardless of how you want to spend these days at La Gare, be aware that you are going to an illegally occupied place.
La Gare will welcome you from Thursday, April 16 : various workshops, worksites, discussions, shows and concerts will take place the following days with canteen and sleepings on site.
On Sunday morning, we will meet at La Gare to pay tribute to the struggle of this place and for its resistance. On Sunday, April 19, there will be a collective, festive and determined start. It will be the moment to show that the struggle continues and that resistances are flourishing everywhere in the territory!
The event will be maintained even if La Gare is evicted before ! [link] In this case, the weekend will take place in another place but we will, no matter what happens, say our goodbyes at La Gare !
This is not an abandonment but the logical continuation of a long-term struggle against ANDRA’s trash.
