We call for an antifascist demonstration on Saturday, February 7, 2026, departing from Saulx-lès-Champlon at 1 PM, in the heart of Meuse, against the neo-Nazi center of Hammerskins, Thor’s tavern in Combres-sous-les-côtes.
We want this protest action determined and accessible to all those who oppose the establishment of an international neo-Nazi network in the department and beyond.
With the Tavern of Thor in Combres-sous-les-côtes, the “Lorraine Hammerskins” have had a training and gathering place in the Grand-Est region since the 2010s.Despite protests, especially in 2015, when the neo-Nazis moved from Toul to Combres-sous-les-côtes, near Verdun, they managed to establish themselves sustainably.
After the administrative closure of the first “clubhouse” of the skinheads from Toul in the neighboring department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, their move proved to be profitable: without being worried by the authorities, this organization has existed for a decade in the Meuse and is developing in front of the general public.
Day after day, they propagate racism, misogyny, homophobia, biphobia and antisemitism in front of our doors: all this propaganda of fascist ideology that the ultra-rich landowners, fundamentalist Catholics and radicalized bourgeois have been rising to the occasion for years to divide the population and spread hatred.
We already know where all this is taking us.
Antifascist research carried out over the past two years, followed by media reports, has shown that this former agricultural hangar has become a weekly training center for combat and an organizing place for an international Nazi audience.
The Hammerskins are an organized ultra-violent gang network that is financed notably thanks to this “Brown Hangar” in the Côtes de Meuse (and other nauseating evenings in Europe, unfortunately).
Thor’s Tavern is frequented by internationally wanted criminals and serves as a crossroads for neo-Nazis from the Balkans to the US. Some of them, wanted in other countries, were able to take advantage of the negligence of the authorities of the Grand-Est to stay clandestinely with the Nazi skinheads of the canton.
Many followers of the combat clubs (or “Active club”) of the Grand-Est region train there and admire the violence – sometimes in the family – in order to create material perspectives for the supremacist overthrow desired by the supporters of Adolf Hitler.
The prefecture denied the problem until the citizens’ rally and the meeting with the delegates of our collective at the end of November forced them to take note, or even admit the problem. If the state tries to reassure us by claiming that procedures are underway, we are still waiting for concrete actions on the ground.
Only antifascist interventions could tarnish their growing reputation. The Tavern of Thor is today a symbol of a growing neo-Nazi influence to which we firmly oppose.
The state authorities seem to have accommodated themselves to this unprecedented outbreak of public hatred in France: the most radical measure they have taken was to carry out simple checks on people arriving at a tournament.
Even when hundreds of fascists come to publicly display Nazi symbols and intimidate the village of Combres-sous-les-côtes, the visits of the gendarmes take place in a cordial atmosphere while the disturbance of public order is manifest since tattoos and Nazi symbols (swastika, Holocaust denial…) are exhibited in the streets of the village.
While the residents live in fear, the prefecture initially stated that it “cannot do anything” because “it would still need to be proven that these are indeed neo-Nazis” who manage the place.
Yet the owner and manager of this Tavern, Jérémy F., is a personality who publicly spreads his ideology and meets all the criteria of fascism. With his colleagues from western Lorraine, they regularly attend events organized by negationist and hateful networks in France and beyond.
For months, we have been observing their growing popularity among the youth of the canton: the fight for the cultural domination of the Nazis could be won by these skinheads neo-Nazis, if we stay in fear and resignation.
Since the ban on Hammerskins in Germany two years ago, the “Taverne de Thor” in Meusienne has been increasingly frequented by international Nazis. It is urgent to put an end to this den of violence and hatred.
Let’s gather in large numbers in the center of the Meuse on Saturday, February 07, 2026, departing from Saulx-lès-Champlon at 1 PM.
We call for a determined and cross-border antifascist protest: long live international solidarity – no neighborhood, no hangar, no land for fascists!
Let’s put an end to the Nazi centers, here and elsewhere!
