Summer bouquet from la Gare
Your early summer bouquet has arrived at your favorite station.
Seeds buried in the earth, risen from the ground to defend life alongside us.
Petals glowing peacefully at our feet.
Radiant flowers we dare not shade.
Medicinal plants taken from our luggage, to embalm our wounds.
Sometimes ephemeral, passing through, disintegrating.
Foraged flowers, full of half-life.
Pollen and nectar gleaned, pecked, and probably plundered, too.
I hope this little stroll with us has brightened your day.
