A spring donation call from Cacendr (anti-repression collective) !

Call for donation published originally and found on hello asso.

In Cacendr, we let pass December, THE month of calls for donations, and we wait…

…. that there are less at the same time not to squeeze you like lemons:’D

Often there is also an opportunity such as a trial or legal process to solicit you.

Well, it’s time for the call for donations of Cacendr! It’s time for Cacendr!

What do we have on fire right now?

(Let big brother calm down: it’s an expression!)

Legal side:

  • proceedings in progress against the expropriations, notably that of the Ancienne Gare de Luméville, but also of the owners, farmers expropriated from their lands, their fields.
  • the extension of the laboratory’s operating authorization and the creation of a gendarmerie barracks within the laboratory that we intend to challenge legally.
  • the study of the DAC file, application for authorization to create, and that of the “Dossier réglementaire zéro” (DR0), the first part of Cigéo’s works which will have an impact on the landscape and the territory. For that, we are fortunate to have a super expert hydrogeologist who produces analyses and therefore has to pay a little bit anyway.
  • Unitech, the dirty laundry project, abandoned in Joinville but still ambushed behind what remains: a “simple” decontamination plant… Well, come on! So we continue to scrap against the building permit.

All this work is organized in the Fronts Contre Cigéo and it requires a storage of their documents: we rent a space on an associative server made available to them.

These Fronts must meet regularly, this leads to costs of mouth and transport, sometimes room rental and printing (to work on paper documents).

Cacendr contributes to the cost of these expenses and of course the lawyer’s fees.

On the repression side:

  • There are fewer trials than during the “Bois Lejuc years”, “only” a few small trials due to the area policing.
  • A big trial that gets away with: the one called “Malfaiteurs de Bure”.  3 people on the benches of the accused: the cassation has broken (annulled) the appeal judgment that had sentenced them to 4 months with a conditional sentence for participation in an undeclared but not prohibited protest (link). So rebelote! The 3 are back on appeal in Nancy on April 24, 2025. Of course, to complete this shamefully disproportionate case which was more in the order of the gag procedure than anything else, it is the release of the 3 that is targeted, especially on the disproportion of the attack on freedom of expression. Since we do not change a winning team, it is the four lawyers of the appeal who go back together in this defense.

We would like to thank all your lawyers for their joint fees!

The fight against Cigéo and nuclear energy:

We support here and there, according to our means, the actions of groups and people who are moving against this deadly industry and its world by:

  • helping to finance their actions,
  • opening a line of account in our accounts to simplify the administrative part,
  • lending the Atomik Tour van for which Cacendr assumes maintenance and insurance.
  • being a member of the Coordination Anti-nuclear, the Network Get out of the Nuclear, CRIIRAD and of course the Coordination Stop Cigéo.

That’s it! It is to finance all this that you are regularly asked for money and we thank you for everything you have already given.

It is not only money, it is more important: it makes us feel supported and strengthened in our involvement for the cause that Cacendr defends: against nuclear energy and its world of repression and war! And in these times, it is good to feel that you share our struggle.
