Visit of the expropriation judge at La Gare!
On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 9:30 am, an expropriation judge is supposed to go to the Gare of Luméville-en-Ornois as part of the expropriation procedure, which has been ongoing for a few months now.
Bought in the 2000s by a group of activists, the Gare is an area of about 8 acres between the villages of Luméville-en-Ornois and Mandres-en-Barrois. It has hosted many events such as the ten days of VMC camp anti-autoritaire et anti-capitaliste in August 2015, the Printemps des luttes paysannes of 2016, the semaine anticarcérale de l’Anarchist Bure Cross 2020, the camp des Rayonnantes in August 2021, the fêtes des Barricades #1 in July 2022, the rencontres de chorales Nomades in August 2022, the Bestiales #1 in February 2023, the fêtes des Barricades #2 in September 2024.
Its location is also strategic since it is located on the potential Branched Terminal Installation : the railway that ANDRA wants to create and operate to transport nuclear waste to CIGÉO via the CASTOR convoys.
The Gare is priceless, and its destruction for the benefit of the nuclear end-of-chain would be outrageous. The expropriation procedure is only one step before the risk of eviction that will threaten the station in the coming year.
