A few days ago, two people were arrested in Savoie, accused of having participated in the dismantling of infrastructure in the Alps carried out by POMA.
They have been indicted and placed under judicial supervision for “threats”, “theft with assembly and damage” and “criminal association”. They are forbidden to meet, to go to Bure and to the sites of the company Poma. They have also been placed under the status of assisted witnesses for “endangering the lives of others”. (1)
In Bure, where the State wishes to bury its most toxic nuclear waste, POMA, the world leader in cable transportation, is building its project for a downhill facility for radioactive drums (2).
While the State announces its intention to restart the construction of new reactors in the years to come, once again repression falls on anti-nuclear activists.
With this banner, and since the anti-nuclear week organized in Toulouse (3), we affirm our solidarity with those accused!
Down with POMA and nuclear power! Down with repression!
