The prefecture is putting pressure on the Gare of Luméville
The are of Luméville has changed its owner but is still not legally evictable. This does not prevent the prefecture from applying pressure.
Thus, a security commission requested by the prefecture tried to come twice on the grounds of the station on August 11 and Thursday, August 28 to check if the station was up to standard to receive from the public. Their visit could not be carried out. According to our lawyers, the prefecture could then unilaterally decide to administratively close the station and enforce the decision at the same time as the notification of this decision.
This means that the prefecture can legally decide at any time to evacuate the Gare of Luméville and without being notified in advance of this decision. The maneuver would be crude: disappointed that the station is not yet evictable, does the prefecture wish to go faster than justice to prevent the camp, stifle dissent by evacuating the Gare of Luméville before the demonstrations on September 10 and 20?
Nothing is certain but the risk of evacuation for administrative closure remains at all times and we consider it important to inform those wishing to go there as well as our supporters from outside.
It is still completely legal to be on the grounds of the station and presence on the ground cannot be reproached in case of evacuation.
To defend the Gare of Luméville, we call on you to relay in your networks the call for the demonstration of September 20 at bure (see manifbure.fr) and to come to the site today to help us resist the authoritarian temptations of the prefecture. The Gare of Luméville is in non-mixity without cis-het guys until September 3rd. If you do not feel that you are on land that can be evacuated by the police forces, other places such as the resistance house can accommodate you.
