October 11, 2025 : the Gare is now legally evictable.
To receive information by signal, you can send ‘gare’ to @bridgebot.1312. You will receive a confirmation message and be registered on a mailing list. This channel will be used to relay important information: events or eviction risk alerts. To unsubscribe, simply send ‘stop gare’ to the bridgebot. We preferred this way to a signal group because the application does not allow hiding the members of a group. With a public link, there was the risk that an informant or the cops would register and have access to the list of members.
There is also a mailing list of newsletters from the fight, the ‘bloquonscigeo’ mailing list, to be added. and it is enough to send an email to sauvonslaforet[at]riseup.net specifying in the title “add bloquonscigeo”.
September 17 : Today we discovered that the Andra has paid the money to buy la gare on September 10. This means that the gare will be evictable after october 11, 2025.
September 5 : following the fact that the security commission did not come, the prefecture has sent a letter telling us that the justice has been warned of this.
September 1 : Andra has still not given any money to finalize the juridical process. It means that the gare can’t be legally evicted before September 30. But the prefecture could legally decide to close the gare and to evacuate the site for security reasons. It is so because the security commission sent to verify if the gare met the norms for places receiving people could not enter the gare. It is still completely legal to be in the gare. August 2025 : Andra has asked for the bank account in order to pay the money to buy the gare. It seems like Andra would like to make the gare soon evictable. Also, the prefecture tries to put pressure on the gare by sending a security commission to check if the gare can receive people during events.
July 23 : the judge has chosen the price for the gare. If Andra pays the money, the gare will be evictable 1 month later.
June 16 : The eviction decree has been published. It will be contested in justice. This contestation can not stop the procedure even if sometimes the police waits for the contestation to end before evicting.
March 31 : the gare is not legally evictable but we prepare for it actively.
When will La Gare be evictable ?
La gare is now evictable.
Current context of the struggle against CIGEO
The CIGEO project has been progressing fast since the beginning of 2025.
More than 300 owners are (or have been) concerned by an expropriation procedure. One of the places that opponents live on, the place called the “Gare of Luméville” is in particular in full proceedings: Andra wants to pass the railroad that would transport radioactive waste. We will oppose legally and on the ground at any attempt to expulsion from the station to demonstrate our opposition to the nuclear industry as well as to the burial of nuclear waste.
Currently, the gare is a private place that still does not belong to the State. So there is no risk of expulsion on site today.
When will the cops be allowed to evict la Gare ?
We cannot give specific dates for nom. We just know that the station can’t be evicted before mid-July. This is a minimum date so it may be that the expulsibility date is much later.
When will we know the date when the cops will be allowed to evict ?
In order for the eviction to take place, Andra must have paid the price of the land into a bank account of the owners. Once this payment took place, the occupants of the field have 1 month to leave the premises before becoming expelled.
We will therefore know the exact date from which the gare will be lawfully evictable 1 month before, that is to say when Andra has paid money.
Do we have an idea of when the Andra will pay ?
For the Andra to make the payment, two conditions must be met. On the one hand that the price is fixed and on the other hand that the expropriation order of the station is published by a judge.
The expropriation order is expected to appear in April. But we will attack this order of expropriation in court and this procedure may make the expropriation order unusable until the judges have ruled on our requests.
Fixing the price of the station should take place in the middle of June according to the calendar that the judge has communicated to us.
There can therefore be no payment before mid-June and the Gare cannot be expelled before mid-July.
However, we cannot know if the Andra will pay money as soon as it will legally have the right or if the gendarmes will try to evict the station as soon as it is expelled.

What to do to help us?
As of today, we invite you to defend the Gare of Luméville by living and fighting from the Meuse! There are lots of places in the various collective places in the area (the resistance house, the Luméville Gare, the freed, the Augustine, etc.) and there is no need to tell us beforre arriving on site whether for a few days, a few weeks or a few months!

Also note these dates of appointments to prepare for the defense of the station:
- at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday following the publication of the expropriation order at Luméville station
- at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday following the payment of money by Andra at Luméville station,
- And obviously come to Luméville station as soon as it is deportable (and even before) to defend it physically!
