Infinite September, news from the camp!

We’re organizing a camp for the WHOLE MONTH of September 2025, at the old Luméville station near Bure! We already mentioned it in this article, with a call to action:

https://bureburebure.info/en/events/event/septembre-infini/

Pre-registration form:

It’s optional, but it helps us. This is also where you can tell us if you have any special needs: https://forms.42l.fr/apps/forms/fqmkrCZCDbjeY7tc

How can you get involved now?

We need help with lots of little things, including :

– Distribute the posters (download here) and flyers (download here) (print on A4 double-sided short edge).

– Suggest programming by sending an e-mail to septembreabure [at] riseup.net

– Come along with your delicious canteen crew to make us some dishes (or spread the word to your buddies who love to make food for lots of it).

– Join the care/safe team

For the last two points, it’s even greater if you can send us an e-mail or confirm that you’ll be joining the safe/care team in the registration form.

News:

We’re reposting a link to an article that’s been updated on where the station stands legally and how the eviction process is progressing: https://bureburebure.info/risque_expulsion_gare/ (in french)

The station won’t be able to be evicted before the start of the camp, and it’s unlikely that all the steps will be taken quickly enough to be evictable during the camp. In any case, the biggest deterrent is our presence in numbers at the station in September and in the months that follow!

What are we going to do?

The camp program will be structured into thematic weeks (although of course not everything will correspond to the themes, and that’s all to the good):

  • Week 1: antinuclear & other struggles connected //
  • Week 2: inter-canteen & care in struggles organization //
  • Week 3: Occupation experiences and practices //
  • Week 4: what’s next? infinity is just around the corner.

There’ll be plenty of space for you to come up with ideas for discussions and workshops, so bring your buddies and your projects! And it doesn’t have to be related to the week’s themes!

We’ve got lots of projects lined up, and there’ll be plenty of room for your desires too (you’re starting to get the idea). These include the creation of more enclosed hard-standing areas around the station, and improvements to the station’s general defences.

Finally, there will be time for the organization day-to-day running of a collective struggle, especially one that can be evicted: self-media, AGMs, time for day-to-day committees…

There will be 2 bar times a week (with and/or without alcohol). There are also several big parties planned (notably on the 20th of September, so that those returning from the demonstration organized not far from the camp can relax). We’re also looking into the idea of ritualizing evenings during these weeks, whether it’s movies or games, depending on what we feel like doing in September!

A few things about collective life:

We’re trying to be careful not to incite those around us to consume, so we’ll be asking everyone to ask around before smoking,to drink (anything) from opaque glasses etc.

Top-nudity will be authorized (while paying attention to whom feels comfortable, and we also invite you to check the people around you).

For non-human animals: if you’re not staying long, don’t stress out your pet and try to find a pet-sitter. We’re well aware that if you’re staying for a long time, it’s great to have your fellow non-human come and enjoy it!

There will be an evolutionary group to change/add collective rules as the camp progresses.

Accessibility:

The camp is on a vast industrial wasteland, so it’s not very accessible to people with motor difficulties. There are ramps on some buildings to facilitate access for people for whom steps are complicated. In general, there’s plenty of information on what’s accessible and what isn’t in the accessibility charter!

There will also be a weekly non-mixed time for neuro-atypical people, so that they can identify with each other, create times of peer support and support each other in this camp.

If you have specific needs, don’t hesitate to fill in the pre-registration form or send us an e-mail!

********

As a reminder, the set-up will start on August 25 and will be a chosen-mixity without cis-hetero men (i.e. for Gay / MINT (Women, Intersex, Non Binary, Trans) / questioning). This chosen mixity will continue for the first 3 days of September to start the camp (i.e. September 1 to 3 included).

If you’re part of a great collective and want to come and talk to us, or have questions about anything, you can reach us at septembreabure@riseup.net (PGP encryption available on the key servers).
